Darren Waterston Art

When I went on my solo motorcycle trek for my birthday a couple of weeks ago, I took some time to go to the Mass Mocca design museum and was introduced to the artwork of Darren Waterston:

His pieces really spoke to me. In some sense, his analog creativity informs my digital sensibilities from a visual perspective (i.e. in some way, the internet and cyberspace visually takes on this form for me when I imagine it). Yes, that is a very eclectic perspective, however I grew up on William Gibson original vision of Cyberspace: Neuromancer, Mona Lisa Overdrive, Burning Chrome, etc. Waterston's artwork seems to exude that Gibson appeal.

I was also able to stand in Waterston's "Filthy Lucre" piece. It was amazing: (check out the 'About this' words on the piece about his take on Whistlers Harmony in Blue)
