Absolutely makes me sick to my stomach. Sorry to the CoD fanboys, but this title line needs to just hang it's damn hat already.. I mean, can someone out there agree with me that every new CoD they have released so far is just the same game with different skins? It was fun with the zombies and all, but I mean..enough already. lol

I played COD 1 and 2 on the pc and didn't play another one until Black Ops. I bought MW2 but I didn't care for it. Same with MW3. I traded it in about a week after. Now I do like Black Ops. The MP was ok but hell I still play zombies. As long as people keep buying them activision is going to milk it dry. Hell each one sells better than the previous one. I do think treyarch does a better job with it though.
I'm sure I'll be picking up Black Ops 2 but I'll do it just for the zombies. That shit is like crack to me lol. I love the easter eggs and little hidden things through out the game.

If the clan gets it for zombie action, I'll pick it up. I won't touch the multiplayer though, unless it has to do with zombies. I'm a huge fan of Dead Island and L4D so, that'd be a cool thing for me.

It's the same with any franchise.  It's not going to change drastically from release to release.  They have a formula that works and people love it.  Yes, it's a little ridiculous charging $60 for a new release with minimal changes, and absolutely no fundamental gameplay changes, but name one franchise that's any different.
Maybe not a relevant comparison, but look at any sports franchise.  NHL has been around since 93 or 94 and release a game every year that millions of people buy, essentially for roster updates and some new jerseys.  Is it worth shelling over $60+ for? Hell no.  Do people do it anyways?  Yup.  

As long as people keep buying $60 expansion packs, that's the business model that will thrive.

Just goes to prove if Zipper had done the same thing with SOCOM, we just might be playing an HD version that doesnt suck.

I miss the first SOCOM Also, very true andy. But there are some game lines that have changed their thing...not a lot.....but there are some.

The first & second SOCOMs were the best in my opinion. small teams, you die you're dead for the round. Tactics & comms required for a win. No vehicles, just the spec ops on foot vs the bad guys..  Loved the breaching and hostage rescue missions.

Confrontation was close, but I think they community shot themselves in the foot by not supporting it. SOCOM 3 & 4 with the respawns and big maps/ teams was a stupid move. And 3 brought in vehicles that took away from the game in my opinion.

No mention of zombies yet but I just don't see how they can NOT have it in the game. Not only will I have to buy one for myself but these days I have to buy 2 of everything. My 11 y/o is an avid gamer too. So I have 2 PS3s , 2 bluetooth headsets , 2 hdtvs , mine is a 47 and his is 32. Any game with a decent mp we have 2. Gamestop loves to see me walk in the door.

All the COD fanboys say this looks awesome, they're an interesting group. They love the past (WW2, Black Ops) present (Modern Warfare) and now future gameplay styles. Pretty adaptive group, or they just love whatever the big name companies will tell them to love. Eitherway, won't be picking this up

I smell a Battlefield 2142 all over again.. Pretty sure I had a feeling this was going to be another Call of Failure. Colt, I'd look more into this game before you jump the gun, sir. If that's Treyarch, they are really rolling the dice here. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind future stuff....as I'm an extremely huge fan of Armored Core.  But this...just scares me.

I never could really get into the multiplayer of CoD. There was no teamwork and it was full of little kids talking shit over the internet. I just love the zombies. My son , nephew and myself played the hell out of it and that's what its all about.
Between the fanboys and haters I hate reading anything about it online. If treyarch came out with a game that was all Zombies then I wouldn't even think about buying CoD. Like I said earlier , I didn't like MW 2 or 3. The only reason I even bought Black Ops map packs was for zombies.

I like the old zombie games, like Resident Evil 1 - 3. They had some tough puzzles, and really made you jump out of your seat with things popping around corners, or just sounds you hear just out of view. The fixed camera angles, limited items you can carry, little ammunition to use. That was all awesome. Loved the B acting of the voice actors but the story was solid and good. They kind of ruined that story in the movie, but I'm still an RE fanboy

I remember playing Re1 on the ps and every door you went through it had a 10-15 second loading screen. Man I hated that lol. I had RE2 on the pc and that game had so many moments where it made you jump. It was awesome. That and you had to conserve ammo and really pay attention to what you were doing. They screwed RE up by making it an action game.

Couldn't agree with you guys, more. I'm a straight up RE fanboy, and RE 1-3 were the BEST. I also highly approve the Resident Evil 1 remake for the GameCube. That game just plain made me scream like a girl at times. That was true survival horror....nothing like the trash that RE is today. I love loading up my ps3 digital copies of 1 and 2 from time to time, even though I've played/beat them a thousand times...still can't get enough of them. If Treyarch did a true zombie only game, I'd play the hell out of it. The best *current gen* Zombie game that I think is worth the money right now is Dead Island...that's a pretty solid game. I might get Black Ops 2 only for the zombie action if there is any zombie action and ONLY if multiple mXmembers buy it...only way I'll purchase it. If not, though.....fuck a bunch of CoD, lol.
