Lower receiver blank

Barrel

Gas Tube, Upper Receiver parts, hand gaurds, bolt carrier, misc parts

Tool set

Getting started!

Started with the lower receiver first. Taped up the metal to avoid dinging it when setting in the roll pins. This is the bolt catch that locks the bolt to the rear.

Trigger group. This is the upgrade I got for free because they had to cancel the first class. Nickel Carbon plated trigger, hammer, and bits.

Setting the trigger spring. Just pulled it over the circular ears.

Dropping it into the lower receiver

Hammer and spring

Together with the trigger and other bits. Fairly simple, just a few retaining pins and whacks with a hammer.

Another part of the upgrade, the little diagonal bar keeps the pins from rolling and possibly falling out, causing your trigger group to fall apart. (This is not a common issue, but it was free, so why not)

Upgraded trigger gaurd

Trigger housing group complete with upgraded ergo hand grip. Its got a nice comfortable grip and it is rubberized, so not hard plastic.

Locking plate for the buffer spring tube

Buffer spring tube attached to lower receiver

Collapsible stock

Upper receiver attached to the barrel, and bolt carrier group.

From here it was a little more complicated and I couldn't really take pics of what was going on. There is a gas tube, small metal tube that runs from between the front sight post in the pic above, to the "delta ring" that is right in front of the hand guards in the same pic. There were three holes that had to be lined up for the tube to slide in, and had to use a special tool to align the last bit, as it sits in a vice.
From there it was just a matter of putting the charging handle in the upper receiver, and the bolt carrier group, slap on the hand guards, flash suppressor and attach the upper receiver group to the lower receiver.

I had a ton of fun building it, the class also came with the carrying bag, cleaning kit and a tshirt.
