Download The GT Academy 2012 Demo Right Now


This year's version of GT Academy once again blurs the line between virtual racing and real racing as it takes a crop of gamer wannabes and turns them into actual race car drivers. It's not a dream. It's the future. And you can win it even if you're a Vegas showgirl.
For the uninitiated, GT Academy gives anyone with a PS3 and a copy of the latest Gran Turismo demo a chance to compete in a time trial that leads to a reality show on Spike TV that eventually leads to a real seat in a real race car. It's not how Mario Andretti did it, but you're not Mario Andretti.

There's no way I can run laps fast enough to get into a top spot.  It would be fucking amazing, but not going to happen.
Speaking of which, when are we going to have a Forza night?

I know Gordy is up for one, I would literally have to dust off the steering wheel, and youre up. WOnder if any of our newer folk around here have Forza 4?

I was thinking maybe we could do lap challenges like we did with GT5:Prologue.
Set either a specific car (stock) or a set level on a track and post laptimes.

I've been wanting to get a racing game but couldn't decide which one. Forza or GT5. Also what is a good steering wheel set up to get?

Forza > GT5 for sure, and I used to be a GT fanboy.  Have had every once since the beginning, and only had Forza 2 prior to this. F4 definitely takes the cake though.

What about the Logitech Driving Force GT? It has good reviews on amazon and its only 80 bucks.

I had that one, it's a great wheel.  I loved it, just didn't have a good setup to use it steadily.

Well being that I don't have an Xbox anymore I guess I'll get GT. I haven't played that since the PS1. I remember that every time I went to the ford dealership the game would freeze. During one freeze I had to reset my PS and it wiped my entire memory card out. Didn't touch it after that. Too bad there were no patches back then lol.

yeah i would love to have a specific car and track challenge and/or a forza night.  I wouldn't be able to do forza night til wednesday (my last final).  I did like forza better than GT but GT is still a good game and i would recommend getting it.  I think i still have GT if you all want to do that as well.

Well than its settled. We can start with a track, stock vehicle, best lap to start. Keep it simple and allow  for schedules.

Let me knock the dust off here and Ill try to get it up by Monday.

Haha if you want to see me game more, then you could help me with my school work and take tests for me...hopefully i'll have more time when i'm done with school.  Also you getting an xbox would help me out too.
